Crescent Launches New Rag Mat Crossroads Collection
The Crescent Rag Mat line has expanded with the introduction of Crescent’s Crossroads Collection - 16 new bold, crisp colors, designed to accentuate both artwork and the setting.
This exciting collection is inspired by exotic colors from all four corners of the globe and reflects coming trends in home decor.
“Customers will be looking to this new line for matting that will complement their homes,” said Kate McCarthy, Marketing Vice President of Crescent Cardboard Company, L.L.C. “These stunning colors are really on the forefront of new home decoration trends. With the Crossroads Collection framers will now be better equipped to help customers select matboards that reflect their lifestyles and personalities along with new styles in interior design.”
All 16 colors are offered in 32x40” (81x102cm), and 4 available in 40x60” (102x152cm). These conservation matboards feature 100% cotton core and backing papers and the colors range from a crystal blue Everest Sky to a rich burgundy Napa Wine.
Crescent Cardboard Company is pleased to announce the newest additions to our family of fine matboards. For the Rag Mat line we have added new patterns, new colors, a new ply, and 100% cotton, all-black matboard. We have also added two new patterns and a total of 20 additional products to our Specialty matboard line.
New Rag Mat Additions

Crescent proudly presents the latest expansion of our Rag Mat line with the addition of 27 new offerings.
Included in this introduction is Rag Mat Noir, a new, premium, black core, conservation matboard. Available in five popular Rag Mat conservation surface papers, the Noir line offers a 100% black cotton core and black cotton backing paper.
Also added to the Rag Mat line are seven new items and two new patterns to the Intaglio line. The two new patterns, Sponge and Stucco are embossed on 100% cotton Rag Mat, offering exciting new options in conservation matting.
Rounding out this introduction are 15 Rag Mat Solids, formerly Classic Rag Mat 100. New additions to this line include six new colors, six new 40" x 60"s and five new 8-plys including the deepest, richest, black on the market.

Crescent introduces 20 new color offerings to the Specialty Matboard product line. This second collection of unique patterns and visual textures continues to reflect trends in art and home decor. All boards feature Crescent's specially formulated permanent whitecore and are available in 32" x 40"
